This is a special edition podcast about the Widening the Gateway Conference that will take place on March 31, 2018, in Tacoma, Washington. Widening the Gateway is a conference of secular AA members from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Willow F. and Tom L. from the Many Paths AA Group in Burien, Washington, were my guests for this episode to provide information about the conference for those who are attending or who may be interested.

Speakers, Panels, and Workshops

Ray B. from Vancouver, BC will serve as the keynote speaker and kick off the conference at 10:00 am, Saturday morning. His talk is entitled “What Keeps Us Sober? Building Our Recovery Capital As We Trudge Our Many Pathways Of Happy Destiny.”

The conference theme is taken from AA’s three legacies: Recovery, Service, and Unity. There will be nine breakout sessions featuring panels and workshops to explore various perspectives on each legacy.

The closing speaker is Bruce H. from Seattle, WA., and his talk is entitled “My Life In AA: Past, Present, Future.”

Registration

Attendees may register for the conference at the conference website widengate.com. The registration fee is $45 and the hotel is offering a special rate of $99 per night for a single room with a king-sized bed or $109 for a double room.
